Self titleing

I've noticed that people tend to give unusual titles to their blogs or profiles or intro description. Some are, 'just a little crazy', or maybe, 'wierd', or sometimes 'odd and unpredictable'. Actually, these titles could apply to just about anyone who has time or ambition to write a blog. Why else would you think anyone cared unless yu were 'odd'.
People who consider themselves at all artistic, writers, photographers, painters etc. all consider it important that they be considered off the main stream.
Well, never one to fall in lock-step with the mob I will, from now on, refer to myself as a routine, uneventful guy.
I'll try to write at least weekly.

Fish and Chips.

Fish and chips with a glass of Guiness, can't be beat. It's just a fried fillet of fish and some french fries but when it's called fish and chips it seems special. This came from the Londoner Pup vendors booth. Very hot, very tasty.

The Guiness adds considerably to the feast.

Lots of Hats

Another photo from the Worldfest in Addison, TX. I had been to enough of this type event to know that I did not want to shoot the usual stuff so I just wandered around. I shot a series of people wearing hats.
This girl never noticed me, she seemed to be looking for someone. I don't know if he or she ever showed up.

Corn on the cob.

I don't know who this lady is. If you do, let me know and I'll send her a copy. She was knoshing down on an ear of corn at the Worldfest in Addison, TX. I caught her by surprise but she just smiled. Very pretty smile too.

I was walking around the Worldfest just shooting faces. Most folks smiled, no one seemed to mind. It was a fun day and lots of interesting food.

A rose is a rose

I found a thriving row of rose bushes in Addison. I used my Canon EOS Rebel xs with the Canon 50/1.8 lens @ 1.8 aperture priority. They came out pretty well considering I usually don't shoot flowers.

Flowers, pussy cats, bugs and stuff belong on calenders as far as my biased view is concerned. I have some friends who make a good living shooting flowers so I'm not knocking it, it's just not my cup of tea. In fact I am more likely to shoot a cup of tea than a flower.

Go figure.

Worldfest

My granddaughter and her Highland dance group performed at the Annual Worldfest in Addison, TX over the weekend. I took along the camera and spent most of my time shooting faces and interesting people. There were groups representing national heritages from all over the world with dance, costume, music and food. So many cultures and som many people. A very interesting few hours.
The photo is my granddaughter doing one of the many Highland dances. The grooup photo shows others in the group as they waited for their turn.

Day Three.

My photography has fallen on dull times as I cannot think of any photos I want to take. Been most nearby places and already shot them. I know, I know, things change everyday but there's no interest there.

I need a project.

Maybe I'll have an idea in a bit but for now I like low light black and white and I have attached an example. This is my granddaughter taken with a Minolta fixed lens AF oldie, the Hi-Matic af2.
